About MindSpace Solutions Limited
MindSpace Solutions, the first spinout company from the HIT Lab NZ, was founded by Eric Woods in 2003. MindSpace specialises in developing and integrating technology to produce innovative solutions in the education, creative and tourism industries, specialising in Augmented Reality (AR) and tangible technology. AR is the technique of augmenting a view of the real world with virtual, 3D objects. MindSpace has developed Imaginality - the first AR Internet Portal - think iTunes for AR apps, and has applied AR in a number of kiosks for Science Centres and Museums. Tangible technologies involve collecting sensor data from physical interactive elements (buttons, dials, sliders, etc) and using that to control digital content like images and video. This has also been used in a number of kiosks for Science Centres and Museums, and has a related opportunity in software automation - making a physical button push from a patron result in complex control of a software application that would have otherwise required staff presence. MindSpace is currently a tennant in the Canterbury Innovation Incubator. More information is available at www.MindSpaceSolutions.com
